The Hawk 115 is a tandem seat aircraft for advanced and tactical flying training and is manufactured by BAE SYSTEMS. It has a low wing and an all-metal structure and is powered by a Rolls-Royce Adour 871 turbofan engine. The aircraft has an integrated navigational/attack system and radio and inertial navigation systems. The Hawk 115 is the advanced and fighter lead-in trainer for the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) program, based out of 15 Wing Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan and 4 Wing Cold Lake in Alberta. The NFTC program combines the instructional expertise of 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School and 419 Squadron with the resources of Bombardier Aerospace to provide superior flight training to students from around the world.
