Squadron Prints Lithograph No. 1361 - Sikorsky S92A, G-MCGJ, HM Coastguard, Caernarfon Airport. On 1st July 2015, Bristow Helicopters assumed responsibility for Search and Rescue helicopter operations from C Flight, 22 Squadron, RAF Valley. Operating Sikorsky S-92A helicopters from Caernarfon Airport under the callsigns ‘Rescue 936’ and ‘Rescue 937’, the service provides an all-weather, day and night capability at sea and over land. Frequently seen amongst the mountains of Snowdonia, the Caernarfon SAR helicopters are also tasked to SAR Operations as far away as Scotland and Ireland, and as far South as Cornwall. Working in partnership with the Maritime Coastguard Agency, the Bristow crews regularly train and operate with local RNLI, HMCG, Mountain Rescue and emergency service teams, to provide a first-rate service to those in need.
